In the previous articles of the Project Spotlights series, where we’re interviewing projects developing on Binance Smart Chain, we shared with you some of the first few projects – ForTube, BurgerSwap, Bounce, Arkane Network, AnySwap, and Bitquery. Today, we continue with the Project Spotlights interviews, and the next project you’ll learn about is Tenderly.
Please describe your project to those who might not be familiar with Tenderly.
Tenderly: Tenderly is a cloud-based platform enabling the rapid development of blockchain dApps. Our services span the entire product lifecycle: development tools, testing environments, smart contract monitoring & production infrastructure abstractions.
We help developers unlock their full potential by giving them the best in class tooling and services for working with Smart Contracts.
Why did you decide to migrate/build on Binance Smart Chain?
Tenderly: We aren’t exactly migrating to BSC or plan on building any smart contracts on BSC.
What we did is connect the BSC to our platform so other developers can have a much more productive experience while developing on BSC.
We wanted to extend the list of our supported networks to include BSC as we want to provide our tooling to all developers working on any of the top of bleeding edge blockchain tech. We see BSC as being in a unique position in the space, given the size and scope of Binance as a company.
What do you see as the main advantage of BSC compared to other
blockchains?
Tenderly: The unique position of Binance being the largest crypto exchange in the world and the fact that BSC leverages the now already established industry standard, smart contracts.
BSC is in a great step towards bringing CeFi and DeFi closer together.
How was the migration process? Can you name some of the highlights or positive experiences and, on the other hand, some of the challenges?
Tenderly: The compatibility with all the existing Ethereum tooling and infrastructure made the process of connecting BSC to Tenderly a piece of cake.
What do you hope to see next from the BSC community?
Tenderly: I would love to see any effort that creates synergy with the existing blockchain ecosystems instead of continuing the trend of blockchains trying to become the “only/best” blockchain in the space.
Everybody working together instead of undermining each other will be the recipe that will propel blockchain technology to the mainstream.
Where do you see DeFi and BSC in five years?
Tenderly: We see a huge ecosystem of DeFi dApps, protocols, and blockchains that all work together to dethrone the traditional (or at that point, old) financial infrastructure.
