Lessons Learned
Here are some tips to spot Rugpull scams:
- Another common Rugpull scam is that the project party might claim to be doxxed, in order to gain trust from its investors. But in actuality, the display picture or avatar used is a Stock or AI generated image.
One way to check is to use Google Reverse Image Search, to verify if the picture has been posted anywhere else online. If the original image has been reposted multiple times, there is a higher chance of the project being a Rugpull scam.
