In this event, we’re challenging developers to address crucial challenges in blockchain and dApps across various domains, including AI, infrastructure, gaming, physical infrastructure networks, social networking, and decentralized science.
AI Track
Challenge 1: AI Generative Content Ledger
Main Objectives/Goals:
- Content credibility and provenance metadata registry
- Content storage and ownership management
Challenge Description:
This challenge addresses a major AI issue: the rise of cybercrime, fake news, and deepfakes due to widespread generative AI technology. The goal is to track and verify the origin and credibility of digital content.
The first part of the challenge involves creating an application to upload metadata or fingerprints of AI-generated or AI-enhanced content to Greenfield. This metadata will help verify ownership and AI involvement, maintaining a transparent content history. An additional desirable feature is using the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) protocol to embed the creator’s identity and track changes to digital content, increasing transparency.
The second part focuses on enabling creators to profit from their AI-enhanced works. The aim is to develop a fair reward system for creators, where they can upload their works to Greenfield and earn rewards for their AI-enhanced creations. This could include building a marketplace with Greenfield’s native file access control and the smart contract capabilities of opBNB/BSC.
Infrastructure Track
Challenge 2: Empowering opBNB with Advanced Analytics Support
Main Objectives/Goals:
- Revolutionize L2 analytics.
- Create an intuitive analytics dashboard for L2 insights.
- Build open-source block explorer and real-time status dashboards.
Challenge Description:
The challenge seeks to revolutionize opBNB by providing comprehensive analytics support. It focuses on giving users valuable data insights to improve the efficiency of their Layer 2 (L2) activities. The main goal is to create a robust analytics ecosystem.
The first task is to design and develop an analytics dashboard providing users with key data insights. This dashboard will be a centralized hub for users to explore and visualize various L2 aspects, like gas costs and security metrics, emphasizing a user-friendly interface for making informed decisions based on real-time data.
The second task involves creating an open-source block explorer compatible with all rollups. This explorer should allow users to thoroughly examine their L2 transactions, enhancing transparency and encouraging detailed research.
Moreover, the challenge aims to develop status dashboards that continuously monitor the health of the opBNB network. These dashboards will provide real-time updates on network performance, identifying potential issues and areas for improvement. By offering network health monitoring tools, users can proactively address challenges and ensure the smooth operation of their L2 activities.
Gaming Track
Challenge 3: opBNB On-Chain Game
Main Objectives/Goals:
- Utilize low-cost and high-performance transactions for on-chain games
- Increase the web3 game playability and attractiveness for gamers
Challenge Description:
opBNB is looking for game developers to build next-generation crypto games that offer abundant playable and valuable in-game assets, user-friendly experience, and good on-chain metrics.
DePIN Track
Challenge 4: Decentralised Physical Infrastructure Networks with BNB Chain
Main Objectives/Goals:
- Introducing a transformative approach to infrastructure.
- Harness the power of decentralization to create infrastructure networks that are more resilient, efficient, and adaptable to the challenges of changing demands.
Challenge Description:
We are looking for a team of developers who can create decentralized physical infrastructure networks with the BNB Chain tech stack. Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) represent a paradigm shift from traditional, centralized infrastructure models to more dynamic, distributed systems.
This transformative approach, which underpins various technological sectors, emphasizes resilience, security, and adaptability in the face of evolving demands. The following areas are examples:
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Decentralized Database or Message Queue
- AI Machines for data sharing and processing
DeSoc Track
Challenge 5: Decentralized Social Network
Main Objectives/Goals:
- Innovate on the social network with blockchain technology
- Protect and tokenize user data and contents
- Censorship resistance
Challenge Description:
We seek a team of developers to create a decentralized social network for the BSC ecosystem. The network should:
- Be a crypto-native platform that supports various social features such as messaging, live streaming, and content sharing.
- Leverage the power of smart contracts, social assets, and product functions on opBNB/BSC to enable new ways of monetization for content creators and users.
- Store its social data on Greenfield, a decentralized storage solution that ensures data sovereignty and privacy.
- Aim to eliminate the need for intermediaries and provide a better value proposition for its participants.
DeSci Track
Challenge 6: Decentralized Science
Main Objectives/Goals:
- Open access to scientific data and publications
- Crowdsourced peer-review
- Decentralized funding of scientific research
- NFT-based scientific data ownership
Challenge Description:
We are looking for a team of developers who can create a decentralized scientific application to transform and optimize the efficiency of the research process. Decentralized science (DeSci) on the BNB Chain aims to address long-standing challenges in scientific research, including limited data access, opaque funding processes, lack of transparency, limited collaboration incentives, and public engagement deficit.
DeSci utilizes blockchain technology and Web3 principles to transform the scientific ecosystem through open access to research, decentralized peer review, crowdsourced funding, NFT-based data ownership, and seamless data sharing and collaboration. By addressing these challenges, DeSci has the potential to accelerate scientific progress, enhance transparency and accountability, promote equitable research, democratize scientific knowledge, and create new economic opportunities for researchers.
