After thorough analysis and considering community feedback, we have decided to postpone the upgrade announced on November 29th, 2023. Our decision is based on the new test results, assessment on the risk, and discussion with the experts and community.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. Ensuring the stability and security of the BNB Chain remains top priority, and we are committed to taking the necessary steps to achieve this goal.

Please make sure you revert your upgrade if you’ve done so, but use the previous version before the time and date listed below.

For nodes of v1.2.x:
- If you have not upgraded, please retain your current version
- If you have upgraded, please downgrade to v1.2.13 (https://github.com/bnb-chain/bsc/releases/tag/v1.2.13)
For nodes of v1.3.x:
- If you have not upgraded, please retain your current version
- If you have upgraded, please downgrade to v1.3.1 (https://github.com/bnb-chain/bsc/releases/tag/v1.3.1-beta)
Attention:
- Since v1.3.1, the flags –txlookuplimit has been replaced by –history.transactions. Make sure you no longer use –txlookuplimit, otherwise, could have performance issues.
- For all v1.2.x geth nodes, DO NOT use –pipecommit flag
No change is required for the Erigon clients if you are running the latest release suggested in the last announcement:
- For Linux x64: try erigon_x64_v1.1.9–Build20231129
- For Linux arm64: try erigon_arm64_v1.1.9–Build20231129
