BNB Chain is happy to announce its participation in ETHTokyo as a gold sponsor. ETHTokyo is a large-scale on-site hackathon organized by the Ethereum Japan community. The event will be held in Shibuya from 23rd August to 25th August.

As a gold sponsor, BNB Chain will provide two build themes, with a prize of $2,500 for each theme for participating builders. The onboarding build session will take place on Thursday, and anyone can participate for free, including ETHTokyo participants. The BNB Chain technical team will join you and onboard you to BNB on the day.

Track 1: Build A Decentralized Version Of Notion On Greenfield

Prize: $2,500

Objectives

Create a decentralized file management system that gives users complete control and ownership of their data stored on Greenfield. The system must also support secure file sharing and collaboration using crypto address-based or NFT holder-based access to ensure only authorized users can access and edit files/data. The decentralized file management system must also support decentralized applications to ensure seamless collaboration and data sharing.

Challenge Description

The decentralized file management system must leverage Greenfield for decentralized storage to ensure user data is secure, immutable, and censorship-resistant. The storage system must give users data ownership and use crypto address-based access control to facilitate private and secure collaboration. SpaceID support must also be included to make the sharing process user-friendly by allowing users to share files using readable names.

Track 2: Loyalty Program For The Catering Industry

Prize: $2,500

Objectives

Create a fully decentralized loyalty and rewards program to facilitate direct engagement by restaurants with customers, eliminating intermediaries. Participants must also develop a universal reward token that can be used across multiple platforms and restaurants to promote adoption. Participants must also ensure the platform’s continuous evolution by encouraging contributions from developers across the globe.

Challenge Description

The decentralized platform’s core architecture must be created on BNB Chain, and smart contracts must be used to automate the distribution of rewards and other important functionalities. Participants must also incorporate a decentralized identity system to manage user profiles and facilitate seamless restaurant interactions.

The loyalty token’s system must be ERC-20 compliant to ensure easy integration with other platforms and wallets, and a transparent token distribution mechanism will ensure the fair allocation of tokens depending on referrals, community engagement, and dining activities.

Participants must also develop customizable dashboards to allow restaurants to track customer interactions, manage rewards, and customize their loyalty programs. Users must also be able to integrate their wallets to manage their tokens and rewards seamlessly.
