We bring you another monthly report for the BUIDL Reward Program, and this month was quite something! Last month’s BUIDL distribution was one of the largest amounts ever!
What is BUIDL Rewards Program?
In collaboration with our partners, we provide many attractive incentive and rewards programs to projects BUIDLing on the Binance Smart Chain. One of them is Binance’s monthly BUIDL Reward Program, where eligible projects receive refunds for their transaction fees. This helps them minimize their operating expenses, allowing them to use the funds on development and making their products more attractive and valuable. This program is part of the $100 million DeFi Accelerator Fund, and Binance will pay back up to $5 million worth of BNB to developers in proportion to the gas used for their contracts via the BUIDL Rewards.
BUIDL Rewards Program: July 2021
This month was exceptional, with 56 eligible projects that received rewards over the past month. The total distributed amount for July reached 3,502.4 BNB, which equals $1.4M approximately. This is the highest amount over the last 4 months. To see the entire distribution list, continue to the end of this article.
All rewards for July were distributed and should now be visible in the recipient’s wallet.
Important updates to the BUIDL Rewards Program
Initially, Binance set the program to end on July 31, 2021, but due to the increasing interest and high performance of the eligible projects, the team decided to continue with the program. From March 2021, Binance will keep similarly rewarding the qualified developers with the equivalent of 3% of gas paid by triggering the registered contracts.
Updates to the registration process
The creator of the contract should specify the contract address and the receiving address for the rewards. The address to receive the reward must be an EOA address. BUIDL Developer Leaderboard
There’s a running BUIDL Rewards Program leaderboard where you can explore all projects registered for BUIDL and see their monthly and total gas paid. The leaderboard is available for everyone to see at binance.org/en/leaderboard.
All participants can query their smart contract’s gas usage for previous months through this leaderboard. In an earlier blog, we explained how developers can use the GraphQL API of Bitquery.io to query their real-time total gas fee. This table displays both the total amount of gas fees and gas fees for this month.
