What is your core business? Can you expand on your business strategy to those unfamiliar with your project?
XCarnival is a new generation Synthetic Assets Aggregator for everyone, founded by experts in the DeFi and blockchain space from Australia, the United States, and China.
Can you tell us more about your team’s background and introduce the core members?
We have an international team. The core members come from Australia, the United States, and China. Leon Liu, the CEO, is a serial entrepreneur with experience spanning from Australia to Hong Kong, mainland China, and Japan. He was the COO of Australia’s largest cross-border payment finance firm, founder of Australia’s first fully compliant blockchain fund, and an early investor in DeFi. He is ranked as one of the top 80 at the atomic.blue DeFi degen worldwide test as a DeFi expert and veteran miner. Leon is also a well-respected influencer in the blockchain space (especially in the BSC Chinese community). Alan Ma, the CTO, is the former CTO of Kcash, with 10 years of experience in blockchain development and research. Finally, the CMO, Vivi Lin, a media personality and crypto influencer between Silicon Valley and China. She was the TV presenter and producer for Reuters Financial TV and a global partner for Mars Finance.
What’s the most important element on your roadmap? What can we expect from you in the coming weeks and months?
The core elements are the launch of the 1st version of the platform, which includes XBroker and Megabox, and the launch of the mainnet, which XArean and XAdapter will be adopted together. The 1st Version is almost ready and under audit now. Our team is looking forward to the official launch at the beginning of next month.
How does your project work? What makes it different from existing marketplaces? Any Innovation Ideas/Differentiators from Competitors?
XCarnival will solve two major types of practical problems:
First – how to use assets on hand, especially digital assets with poor liquidity (such as NFT, etc.) and long-tail assets (such as various sub-mainstreams), to obtain additional liquidity (stable coins) through mortgage;
Second, how to create and distribute interesting financial products (Synthetic Token) by yourself or participate as a player.
Projects haven’t solved these pain points in the current marketplace. You can understand XCarnival as a more flexible mirror protocol with more extensive fund entry capability and a more user-friendly interface. It’s a brand new idea on the market.
What do you think made you succeed in the SEA Hackathon?
First, we are not a forked or copied project but a new project with lots of innovations. Building new stuff needs more time, development, and courage.
Second, the pain points we want to solve are important. Not only the NFT collateral solution but also the user-driven synthetic markets are very needed in the markets.
Third, we have a solid community base. Lots of fans voted for us as they believe in our vision and our products.
Why did you decide to build on the Binance Smart Chain?
XCarnival aims to build products for the masses. Binance Smart Chain provides almost all the circumstances that fit our needs: Cheap gas fee, quick execution speed, and sufficient user base.
What do you hope to see next from the BSC community?
We’d like to see more support and encouragement for innovative projects on Binance Smart Chain because that’s the key factor for BSC’s future competition. Lots of people might have doubts about BSC, saying the aggregators are Ethereum’s fork projects, but there are dozens of unique projects, and we at the XCarnival aim to be one of them.
