Binance Chain Mainnet has completed its upgrade and the services have been stable since 2020/08/28 7:00 AM (UTC). The full announcement here:

This is a planned hard fork to get prepared for launch of Binance Smart Chain Mainnet. BNB holders will be able to stake and delegate BNB for election on Binance Smart Chain validators soon. They will decide the global parameters of Binance Smart Chain. The dual chain architecture comes with the native cross-chain operability.
The latest release of Binance Chain Client has BNB staking Support. Please also pay attention to the new messages published by fullnode.
